NOMINEES FOR MEMBER OF THE YEAR – 2026
Nominee #1 – KAT CARPENTER
We would like to nominate Kat Carpenter from the Central Plains Chapter for Member of the year. She is currently serving as our chapter president and not for the first time. She has been Vice President and currently helps her husband as the secretary.
She along with her husband have hosted numerous rallies and have attended almost every chapter rally plus numerous motorcades and Grandventions.
For the last several Grandventions, Kat has provided her time and talent for the ladies crafts sessions. She is not only creative but very patient in explaining and demonstrating the craft and always with a smile. Her enthusiasm for this club is shown in everything she does, and with all this said we think she is very deserving of being selected for Member of the Year.

2 nomination for KAT CARPENTER
There are many people who volunteer within the Foretravel community, but few give of themselves as consistently and selflessly as Kat. She is one of those special individuals who quietly works behind the scenes, never seeking recognition, but simply wanting every event and every member’s experience to be the very best it can be.
Over the years, Kat has faithfully served the Central Plains Chapter in a variety of leadership positions, including Wagon Master, Secretary, Vice President, and President. Her willingness to step into whatever role is needed speaks volumes about her commitment to our chapter and to the Foretravel family. She always accepts with a smile.
One of the most impressive examples of her dedication is the tremendous amount of time she invests in preparing for Grandvention. Months before the event, Kat is planning women’s craft activities, gathering supplies, organizing projects, and making sure every detail is ready. She willingly contributes countless hours of her own time so others can enjoy a fun and welcoming experience.
Kat is dependable, organized, and incredibly generous with her talents. She is always one of the first to volunteer, never hesitates to help wherever needed, and approaches every task with enthusiasm and a smile. Her positive attitude and smile is contagious, and she has a wonderful ability to make people feel welcomed and included.
Leadership is not simply about holding a title—it is about serving others. Kat exemplifies servant leadership in every sense of the word. She leads with kindness, humility, integrity, and a genuine desire to make our chapter stronger. Her dedication has enriched the lives of countless Foretravel members and has helped create the spirit of friendship and fellowship that makes our organization so special.
Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Kat Carpenter for the Foretravel Member of the Year Award. She is an exceptional volunteer, an outstanding leader, and a person whose service makes a difference.

John Smaha 2025 Hi Sue, I would like to nominate John Smaha for Member of the Year. If anyone in the Motorcade Club deserves it, it would surely be John. Since I have known him, he has done so much for the club, starting with volunteering to be the President pro-tem and rescuing the 4 Corners Chapter from certain death, to being instrumental in creating some of the best Rallies I have ever attended. He has really been committed to the Motorcade Club and is for sure at minimum the Member of the Year. Thank you for accepting his nomination on my behalf. Best Regards, Rocky Cornelius Treasurer of 4 Corners and soon to be Treasurer of California Chapter
